Privacy Policy
Projectr is a subsidiary of 77 Projects LLC ("we," "us," or "our") and the Service is operated by 77 Projects LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Projectr website at projectr.nyc, the Projectr mobile application, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and/or phone number.
- Campaign activity. When you create campaigns, vote, or reserve credits, we record those actions in connection with your account.
- Communications. If you contact us directly, we may collect the content of your message and any attachments.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage data. We collect information about the device and browser you use, your IP address, referring URLs, pages viewed, and interactions with the Service.
- Cookies and session tokens. We use a session cookie (or secure token on mobile) to authenticate you. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including authentication via one-time passcodes sent by email or SMS.
- Process campaign votes, credit reservations, and ticket transactions.
- Communicate with you about your account or transactions — only when you have initiated an action (e.g., requesting a verification code). We will never contact you via phone or email without your permission or an action you initiated.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS Messaging Program
Projectr uses SMS solely to deliver one-time verification codes (2FA / account authentication). We do not send marketing, promotional, or informational SMS messages.
- How consent is collected. When you enter your US phone number on projectr.nyc/login or projectr.nyc/signup (or the equivalent screen in the Projectr mobile app), consent language is displayed directly above the submit button. Tapping Continue constitutes your express consent to receive SMS verification codes from Projectr at the number provided. We record a timestamp of this consent on your account.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your login activity — typically one message per login or signup attempt.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan. Projectr does not charge you for these messages.
- HELP. Reply HELP to any Projectr message for support information, or email support@projectr.nyc.
- STOP. Reply STOP to any Projectr message to cancel SMS verification codes on that number. After you reply STOP, we will no longer send you verification codes via SMS; if you still need to access your account you can log in using email instead, or remove and re-add your phone number to re-opt-in.
- Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your information. Phone numbers collected for SMS verification are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS delivery is handled by our vendor Twilio; see Section 4 below.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use third-party vendors to deliver the Service, including Resend (transactional email), Twilio (SMS delivery), Vercel (hosting and infrastructure), and Sentry (error monitoring). These providers access your data only as needed to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. One-time passcodes are automatically deleted after verification or expiration (10 minutes). Session tokens expire after 30 days of inactivity. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at legal@projectr.nyc.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, HMAC-SHA256 hashing for authentication tokens and one-time passcodes, and secure storage of credentials. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction. You may access and update your account information through the Service.
- Deletion. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at legal@projectr.nyc. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.
- Opt-out of communications. We do not send marketing emails or promotional SMS. For SMS verification codes, you may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving them (see Section 3 above).
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; (b) request deletion of your personal information; and (c) not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. 9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
10. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
